.

What is General Motors Air Ride Adaptive Suspension?

Adaptive Suspension is GM’s newest code name for factory air ride, which is an onboard ride height adjustment system, all powered by a compressor and four “air shocks”. Available on 2021 and newer GM full-size SUVs, Active Ride allows the driver to raise or lower the ride height approximately 2” in either direction or can be set to automatically adjust depending on driving mode and load.

Note: Active Ride is not the same as Magnetic Ride Control (MRC or MagneRide) which adapts and adjusts shock damping for the best possible driving experience.
